Plans
Creating a plan
The three fields, the $2 minimum, and why signing is free.
A plan is a name, an amount, an interval, and which stablecoins you accept. Creating one produces a checkout link and nothing else: no transaction, no network fee, and no record on the blockchain until your first customer pays.
Why it is free
You sign the plan's terms rather than publishing them. That signature is the plan, and it travels inside the checkout link, which is why the link keeps working even if our servers do not. The first person to subscribe is the transaction that puts it on chain.
This is the reason your wallet can be completely empty when you start.
The $2 minimum
Plans below $2 per period are declined. The network fee on each charge is roughly fixed regardless of the amount, so on a very small plan it costs more to collect the payment than the payment earns. We would quietly lose money on every charge and so, eventually, would you.
Which stablecoins
USDC and USDT. Both are dollars, and leaving both enabled gives your customers one less reason to bounce. A plan is tied to one token, so enabling both creates one plan per token behind a single link and your customer picks at checkout.
Only stablecoins, deliberately. A subscription priced in a token whose value moves would change price every month without anybody deciding to change it.
One-time payments
The same form creates a one-off charge instead, for a video, a download, credits, anything sold outright. It is charged once, and the authorisation your customer signs expires within the hour, so a second charge cannot happen even by mistake.
You cannot edit a plan after creating it, and that is deliberate rather than a limitation. See Changing a price.
